Beijing - Locks

Once you climb the Great Wall you can buy locks to forever leave your mark there. They engrave your name on the lock and you choose a spot to attach it to the wall and toss the Key off the wall to be lost forever!!!
My Lock for the Great Wall. It says Stephe, Giorgia & Pirate!
This was Christie's Lock.

Our locks side by side on the Great Wall!!!

Very cool.

We brought locks on our 2nd adoption trip, but went to a different section of the wall -- one where they didn't have the chains for them!

We entrusted sweet and lovely guide with our lock and asked her to attach it to the wall the next time she took an A family there. Not only DID she come through on her promise, she also took a photo of the lock with one of our cameras which my son had misplaced and left in the van!! And then she sent our camera back to us in Guangzhou almost two weeks later!

This is SUCH a cool thing to do.

Can't wait to go back and search for our locks!

How fun!! We didn't even see these when we were at the Great Wall ~ I wonder if they don't have them at every section?

It is so exciting to finally see you in China Stephe ~ can you believe you are really there? When are you meeting G?

The Wall is amazing and a tough climb!! It looks pretty darn cold there! You've had quite a busy schedule so far. Rest up...the big day is soon!
