I enjoy the music on this CD very much. I've turned it on a few times when I'm working at home just to set a pleasant atmosphere. It is refreshing after some of the very repetitive children's music that is used again and again. I had a vocal music teaching degree (K-12) and was an au pair and a nanny years ago so I've heard more than my share of the so called popular children's music over the years.

I also recommend Chinese Lullabies by the Beijing Angelic Choir. It is Chinese children singing traditional Chinese Lullabies from different regions of China and Asia.

We took along a small cassette player/recorder on our adoption trip to record sounds and had the Beijing Angelic Choir music on tape in our room immediately after meeting our daughter. Listening to it became a bedtime tradition. We also used it in the car on long drives and to help her transition to and from daycare. It also now works to calm me down in nothing flat as it was a comfort to me during the wait for our referral.

I can also recommend some not so traditional children's music or standard music that worked for our daughter that won't make you tear your hair out after the 10,000th time of hearing them. Let me know if you'd like me to pass them on.

We have it too - we've listened to it every night for a month! It's our falling asleep music ... but I think I've only heard the first 2 or 3 songs! :)

The weird thing is that one of the songs sounds almost German to me. Anyone else notice this?
