"Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly followed in the footsteps of Brangelina and Madonna by adopting an African child - but the Hollywood heartthrob isn't planning on bringing her back to the US.
According to New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, Leo "met a little girl from an orphanage" a few months ago while on location in South Africa filming his latest flick, Blood Diamond.
According to Cindy, the actor "Played with her, talked with her, became fascinated by her," and has now "adopted" her.
But rather than face the possibility of sleepless nights and nappy changes as a single dad, Leo has reportedly opted instead to fund the little girl's upbringing in her native country and check in on her progress with regular phone calls.
During his time in Africa, Leo spent time with the SOS Children's Village Charity, which provides children who have lost parents with a stable home environment.
The actor is also active supporter of environmental issues, having started the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to raise awareness on issues including global warming and renewable energy.
